On Saturday 8th July, Slough Children First’s (SCF) IFA held a carers’ conference / children’s day in Farnham.
The theme for the conference was therapeutic parenting and a range of workshops on trauma and attachment, self-regulation and mindfulness, and positive parenting strategies were held.
Throughout the day, there were also several talks, including some from SCF Clinicians and Play Therapists and one from Motivational Speaker Dwayne Jack, from organisation 7RoadLight.
While our wonderful carers were busy at the conference, the children under their care were able to enjoy a fun filled day at another venue with our IFA team.
They had a lot of outdoor and indoor activities and games including arts and crafts, table tennis and a surprise visit from Princess Jasmine.
We’d like to thank everyone who came and made the event a success and to our wonderful staff for supporting and organising a great lunch and refreshments for everyone.
