Foster Care Fortnight is an annual campaign organised by The Fostering Network with the aim of raising the profile of fostering, acknowledging the incredible work of our existing foster carers and highlighting the need for more people to come forward as potential foster carers.
At Slough Children’s Services Trust we’re always looking for more foster carers to help provide a loving, nurturing home to some of the borough’s more vulnerable children and in return we can offer you:
✓Excellent training opportunities
✓24/7 support
✓Generous financial payments
Of course it’s not just financial rewards you’ll receive, helping to change the life of a vulnerable child and offer them a brighter future is priceless.
There will be challenges, but with the support and guidance you’ll receive from our family placement service, foster carers and other professionals, we will help you meet these challenges and you will gain tremendous satisfaction from having been an important part of a child’s life.
Many different people become foster carers and there is no such thing as a typical foster carer. Ultimately, we are looking for foster families who can offer support, guidance and a positive family environment in which children feel secure, valued and cared for.
